Founded by the Carney family in 1988 in Warrington, Cheshire Mouldings was built on a simple ambition: to be the best. What started as a family business has grown into the UK’s largest manufacturer of small section mouldings, decking, stair parts, and joinery products.

Cheshire Mouldings was founded by John Carney at Warrington Bewsey Road, in the middle of JNJ Fencing Builder's merchants. Started off supplying stair parts to builders merchants and joinery manufacturers. The Carney family founded the company with a simple idea in mind "To be the best"

Cheshire Mouldings entered the British motorcycle racing paddock as main sponsor of JR Performance Racing, supporting young talent and marking the beginning of the company’s growing presence in motorsport. The following year we sponsored Kawasaki and Kawasaki worldwide

Cheshire Mouldings became an official sponsor of Warrington Wolves, joining the Super League club as its official shorts partner and supporting both first team and academy kits.

Cheshire Mouldings introduced their innovative ready to fit wall panelling kits, making it quicker and easier for customers to create on trend decorative wall panelling at home.

2024 — A new chapter with Summit Timber Group
Cheshire Mouldings became part of Summit Timber Group, bringing together two long-established timber businesses: Cheshire Mouldings and Hawthorn Timber. The move marked an exciting new chapter, supporting future investment, increased capacity and continued growth while keeping the Cheshire Mouldings name and identity

2025 — Recognised for supplier excellence
Cheshire Mouldings was named NBG Supplier of the Year, celebrating the company’s trusted partnerships, product quality and continued support for the merchant sector.

2026 — A new era in British Superbikes
Cheshire Mouldings expanded its presence in motorsport as Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha, with TAS Racing switching to Yamaha machinery for the 2026 British Superbike Championship. The team lined up with Rory Skinner and Danny Kent, marking another exciting step in the company’s racing sponsorship journey.
